Nayrouz Abu Hatoum has a Doctoral degree in Anthropology from York University. Situated in visual anthropology, her doctoral dissertation is titled Framing Absence: Visuals of the Wall and the Vanishing Landscapes in Palestine. She has a passion for poetry and is an emerging writer and academic. She translated multiple academic research projects as well as a few poems for online publications. She has also published several Arabic and English articles, some of which could be read in Al-Akhbar newspaper in Arabic and in Sawt Al Niswa and Jadaliyya in English.

Yasmine Haj is a writer, editor, and translator. She completed her Masters in comparative literature at the University of Toronto, with a focus on modern Arabic literature and French New Wave cinema. She is a co-editor ofMïtra Magazine and has translated a number of film scripts and films, as well as academic and literary texts. Her writings appear in Assafir Newspaper, Romman Magazine, Mïtra Magazine, and trace press, and samples of her translations in Assafir Al-Arabi, Qadita, Asymptote Magazine, and Specimen.
ياسمين حاج كاتبة ومحرّرة ومترجمة، أكملت الماجستير في الأدب المقارن في جامعة تورونتو، بتخصّص في الأدب العربي المعاصر والموجة الجديدة في السّينما الفرنسيّة. تشترك في تحرير مجلّة ميترا وترجمت سيناريوهات وأفلام عدّة كما النّصوص الأكاديميّة والأدبيّة وغيرها. نُشرت كتاباتها في ترايس پريس جريدة «السّفير» ومجلّة «رمّان» ومجلّة «ميترا» وترجماتها في «السفير العربي» وموقع «قدّيتا» ومجلّة «أسيمپتوت» و«سپسيمن».
Serene Husni is a translator, filmmaker, and video editor. She completed her Masters of Fine Arts in Documentary Media from X University. Her directorial debut Zinco won the Audience Award for Best Documentary from the Franco-Arab Film Festival in 2013. She has worked as a production coordinator and simultaneous interpreter on a feature documentary film, and has translated a number of films and videos from Arabic to English. She is one of the co-founders of Aramram, an Arabic speaking web television based in Amman.
